FAQ

  • First, you may need to sign up for 1:1 contact.

    A representative of the appropriate authority will contact and respond to you upon receipt of your questions.


    < How to contact us for '1:1 contact' >

    ① After the first login, click either "1:1 contact" at the top of the screen or "1:1 contact" in the quick menu.

    ② Select the type of question , and select the relevant authority for 1:1 contact. The selected relevant authority may be the nearest police office

    (police box/police station) to you.

    ③ Fill in the contact form . When filling the information, please do not input the important personal information in order to protect your privacy.

    ④ Click " Register" button, and your inquiry is received. It will received by the officer in charge of the relevant authority.

    "Cancel " button will reset your inputted information.

    ⑤ Your inquiry can be found at [ My Page> 1:1 contact]

    ⑥ Click the title of the inquiry, the screen will transmit to the input information display. .

    ※ Notes

    ① When filling the information, please do not input the important personal information in order to protect your privacy.
  • Reporting 'Lost and Found' online, you may first need to register your ID.

    < How to report Lost and Found >

    ① After the first login, click either the [Lost and Found] button at the main screen or "Lost and Found" button in the quick menu.

    ② Select the relevant authority for report. The selected relevant authority may be the nearest police office(police box/police station) to you.

    ③ Input your lost information. When inputting the lost date, please enter the exact time of the lost.

    ④ If you have lost a number of items, you may be able to add other lost times in the "Add Item" at the bottom

    ⑤ Click "Save" button, and you complete the "Lost and Found" report. If you click the "Cancel" button, it will reset your inputted information.

    When clicking "List" button, the screen moves to the research list of the Lost and Found you reported.

    ⑥ The contents of your report can be found at [My Page> Lost processing status]


    ※ Notes

    ① Once Lost and Found was received, it cannot be modified after completion. You may need to do "Revocation of report" and report of it again.

    How to do "Revocation of Report" -

    Select the registration number of the lost items at [My Page> Lost processing status], and the screen will move to "Details" window. Click "Revocation of Report" at the bottom, and the concerned reported matter will be completed as "Revocation of Report".

    ② The receipt of 'Lost and Found' report for submission to the insurance company is available. When you click the "Output' button at the Details window, the popup window shows up.

    Click the "Print" button on the popped-up window, and the receipt will be outputted.
  • 1. For the lost items, you may be able to report of the lost via online or by directly visiting the nearest police office(police station or police box) to you.

    Regarding the procedure of Lost and Found report, please refer to the Help at the homepage of Police Office Lost and Found system(LOST 112).

    2. At the time of acquisition of your wallet, if it has your ID, your residential record will be reviewed and it will be delivered via the Post Office delivery.

    If it doesn't have your ID but has your credit cards etc, we will contact the concerned credit card company and let them introduce you to pick it up.
  • 1. The location tracking of the mobile phone should be consulted with the concerned carrier.

    Police office doesn't have the tracking system with us.

    2. If the police office receive the mobile phone as the Found item, it is to be transferred and kept at the "Call center for finding the mobile phones".

    When the model name and serial number is sent to the center and the owner is found,

    we contact the owner to return it to him at no cost.
  • 1. When I report of the lost and input the name of the item and personal information etc. in the product name, the report is not processed.

    Please check whether you inputted the appropriate information about the concerned 'Lost and Found'.
  • 1. You may choose the nearest police office (police station, police box ) to you.
  • 1. After login, move to My Page> Lost processing status screen.

    2. Click the control number of Lost and Found, and you go to the Advanced menu of the Lost and Found report.

    3. Click "Output for insurance company" button, and the popup window of the registration receipt of Lost and Found will show up.

    4. Click "Output" button, the concerned contents will be outputted. You may submit it to your insurance company.

    ※ "Output for insurance company" button is displayed only in the mobile phone Lost and Found.
  • 1. If you are an foreigner, your Alien registration number is valid for your registration of ID.

    2. If you are an foreigner without Alien registration number, please make a visit to your nearest police office (police station, police box) and report of the lost.

    We will issue the receipt of the lost after completion of Lost and Found.

    3. You may be able to submit the concerned report receipt of the loss to your insurance company.

  • 1. You reported Lost and Found via online cannot be modified. Please do [Revocation of report] of the concerned report, and redo the report of the lost.

    2. How to do [Revocation of report] : click the control number of the report at My Page> the status of processing of Lost and Found , you move to the Details menu display.

    Click the Revocation of the receipt button at the concerned screen, the process of the Revocation of the receipt will be completed.

  • 1. It may be usual that every Monday has a heavy load of civil services such as the Lost and Found, which used to cause the unsmooth connections.

    If you avoid the time during Monday morning and try to access to the site, you may have a smooth connection service.

  • 1. Real name authentication is processed by the Korea Association for the Promotion of Information and Communication, please consult with the real name verification center whether you are registered as the guideline.

    Or due to the temporary disability of the real name authentication center, the processing may be delayed. Please contact the phone number (Contact number : 02-580-0570~1) listed in the guide.

    2. If you are renamed, you may require to correct the previously used name with new name at the site of [www.credit.or.kr].

    3. If the above methods does not help in your real name authentication, please check your internet browser.

    There might be some instances that the real name authentication may not be smoothly processed in other browsers than the Internet Explorer browser (eg: IE 8.x, 9.x).

    If you access with the concerned browser, you can enjoy more convenient services.
